“Mary Lincoln’s Cloak” by Melanie Browne

Mary Lincoln’s Cloak

Was spotted flying over the West Virginia Hills. Many people pointed and said,
“Look at that beautiful Hawk!” Mary Lincoln’s cloak was lost in the middle of a
beautiful lucid dream. In the dream, there was no war, no dead children, no mental illness.
Mary Lincoln’s Cloak reached altitudes of sixty-five thousand feet with no turbulence.
Her cloak has amnesia about that fateful day. You could have a cuppa and a chat with Mary
Lincoln’s Cloak and ask it all kinds of questions but some things are better left in the past.
